It is so special for me to see everyone involved with breastfeeding. Feeding your baby is one of the most important aspects of taking care of your baby. When breastfeeding is well established at about 3 to 4 weeks, the baby can get breast milk from the bottle. The father can feed the baby for this feeding. This way, mom can take a break. Fathers can be involved with their newborn's care. Fathers can bond with their baby by diapering, bathing, holding, carrying their baby in a sling and skin to skin contact. These are great ways that a father can develop a loving, trustful relationship with their baby. Fathers also benefit from breastfeeding. Breastfeeding saves families money because you do not have to buy formula for your baby. In fact, a child's good health from breastfeeding lowers medical costs for the family. In conclusion, to be successful at breastfeeding it needs to be a team effort consisting of mom, dad, and baby. The early weeks of breastfeeding can be hard and challenging. It is also a time of adjustment for the entire family but, it is well worth it.By helping the mother breastfeed, the father is securing the best possible nutrition for their baby.Last of all, enjoy your new baby and best of luck to the both of you.
