Breastfeeding And Is This The Life You're Meant To Live?

I just picked up a Prevention magazine over the weekend. I read an article, "Is This the Life You're Meant to Live," by EdenClark and John Germain Leto. Eden Clarkand John Germain Leto works as energy medicine practitioners and soul coaches. You can find their version in the Prevention Magazine February 2014 issue. I decided to write my blog and take some ideas from them and write my own version of a new mom and breastfeeding. Here it goes1. Am I happy? Happiness is holding your beautiful, healthy little angel in your arms. The best choice you can make for your child is to breastfeed your baby. Breast milk has all the nutritional components your baby needs. This is avery special time for bonding between you and your baby as you breastfeed. Babies are a blessing and will bring you alot of joy and happiness in your life. Your world is now changed forever in a positive way.2. How often do I take time forstillness? I often tell my patients that resting is healing your body. I know that in the beginning, having a new baby is a real big adjustment. You are up all night with your new baby so, try to take naps during the day. Take the short walk. Take a warm shower or bathand enjoy the quiet peaceful moments you have with yourself.3. When have I felt the mostradiant? Don't be so hard up on yourself because you have gained weight during your pregnancy. With a careful healthy diet and moderate exercise, once your doctor approves, you will get back to where you need to be. Remember, breastfeeding your baby burns 500 extra calories a day.4. Do I trust my own in new guidance? Trust yourself as a new mom. There is a special bond between you and your baby that guides us to make the right choices for our child. Have faith that you are doing a great job as a new mom. I am proud of every mom that is attempting to breastfeed your baby.5. Can I let the past go? Try to avoid negative people orexperiences. Staying positive helps you feel happy. Try to forgive and not take things too hard. Stay focused on your baby and breastfeeding.6. Do I always expect a certain outcome? Keep an open mind about new situations, such as having a new baby. You can't possibly know everything that your baby needs. Don't be shy to ask a Lactation Consultant about breastfeeding or your pediatrician.7. What are the greatest wounds that I have healed? Think of moments in your life that you were tested. These experiences offer us lessons of life's joy and pain. For some new moms, having a preemie can be a true test. They need so much extra loveand guidance. Teaching a preemie to breastfeed can be challenging. So, be patient and take it one step and day at a time.8. Do I follow my heart or listento my head? I have always told my children to follow their heart with any decision they do in their life. Every new mom and dad should feel that whatis in their heart is the right decision for their child.9. Do I view life as abundant? Try to be happy with all the wonderful things you have in life. Many of my patients have tried for years to conceive their child. I see the joy on their faces when I come teach mom how to breastfeed andthey are holding a beautiful healthy child. I feel honored and blessed to be able to experience this joy with my patient. Life is abundant when you are content with what you have.10. Do I believe I can create the life I want? The way you think, act and your emotions play a role in how you look at life. Remember to listen to your inner guidance and let your heart take you on your path to happiness. Enjoy your beautiful baby. Happy breastfeeding.
